Rampant Crime! Doom! Carpocalypse!
In another sign of the current sucky economy, crime rates are starting to go up. I experienced this first hand last night when a loud constant knocking at our front door at 1.30am turned out to be a policeman telling me my truck had been broken into. Grrr.
Luckily for me, one of my neighbors was returning home from his night shift, noticed a guy on a bicycle loitering, and a second guy inside my truck rooting around. He called the police and they actually caught the 2 guys a few blocks away. It doesn't look like they damaged my truck at all, and I don't think they took anything... not that I ever leave anything in my truck, living in Manchester England taught me to be smarter then that!
Also luckily for me, my one time of answering the door in my boxers and having to say to a policeman "hang on a sec while I put some pants on" wasn't caught on Cops or Cheaters ;-)
