Our New Home
We found it - yay! We arrived around 4 pm, signed endless papers, took the tour, and eventually parked the cars in our 2 car garage and entered the town-home. Our new place is awesome.Ground level is the entry way and garage, which has LOTS of storage space, perfect for bikes/kayaks, etc.Main level is a long open room with a large kitchen on the east side and wood-burning fireplace & balcony on the west side.Top level is 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The exterior walls are about 2 feet thick to keep the heat out, which means that around the kitchen and bedroom windows you get a 2 foot window bench to sit at. These are particularly nice on the east side (kitchen and guest bedroom) because they’re overlooking the pool / jacuzzi / fountain / gym / 12 seat cinema! We headed out to the pool around 8.30 pm and it was still around 90 degrees out. The water was really warm too after being in the sun all day. We got talking to a couple of people down there and before we realized it, it was 11.30 pm. Floating there in the warm salty water, staring at the stars, I realized this move was so worth it and we had made the right decision.Mo status: A-OK. She hid behind the toilet for a while but slowly started exploring. Once she found the guest bedroom window seat looking over the pool, she was hypnotized and has seemed totally fine ever since.
