Lane visit - Sears Kay Ruin
Our old friend Lane, and our new friends Julie, Gary & Tawni were all in town this weekend. We love seeing them as they are all a lot of fun to hang out with. Friday night we headed over to Tawni's place and hung out with them all evening. I mainly geeked out with Gary over his new iPhone :-) Note to Lane and all others who still haven't made the leap yet - stop worrying about the money, you CAN put a price on happiness and it starts at $399! Ha ha.
Anyway, Saturday we all met up again and went for a hike up at Sears Kay Ruin, in the Cave Creek area (north of Scottsdale). It was a long drive up to a 3,000ft summit (brrrr, cold!), then we hiked up about a mile to the top to find some old Indian ruins! Basically they were lots of small stones laid on top of each other in the basic square shapes of small rooms, with a mystery round room at the top. In the picture above you can see Sally & Tawni in the foreground checking out some ruins, and Lane & Gary in the background taking pictures.
