We took a drive out to Glendale friday night to check out their xmas lights. The downtown area is tiny but strangely cute. Kinda reminded me of being in Cannon Beach, or Bend OR a decade ago - real main street America. Of course we were still in the middle of a sprawling metropolis really, but the illusion of small town was enough to make us relax and enjoy the lights. You can see some photos here.
