Goldfinger

Ah what a great evening. Our local outdoor mall at The Biltmore (where the rich people live) is showing a short series of old classic movies every friday night for about 6 weeks. What could be better then laying out on a blanket in the 80º evening warmth (OK it was a bit chilly for us nowadays), having a picnic, and watching Sean Connery as James Bond in Goldfinger.

We all laughed at every cheesy line; winced at every sexist "leave it to me darling, I'm a man!" moment; and tried to be scared by villainous henchman Oddjob, although I couldn't help mumbling the classic Austin Powers line "That really hurt! I'm gonna have a lump there, you idiot! Who throws a shoe? Honestly! You fight like a woman!". At least Pussy Galore was still everything I remembered... yowza!

There's a bunch of other classics they are showing, but the next one I don't think we'll be able to resist is "Psycho" on Halloween night...
